Montgomery, AL – A late Wednesday meeting to discuss the fate of the state's controversial governor's gambling task force has yielded no immediate decision.
Alabama's governor and attorney general have met privately for about 90 minutes to discuss the future of the task force.
Attorney General Troy King emerged from the Wednesday meeting to announce he had made no decision on whether to take over the task force and end its efforts to shutter electronic bingo operations.
A judge in Birmingham ruled Monday that King can exercise authority over the task force.
King says he and the governor had a calm, productive meeting and bother have a lot to think about in the next few days.
