Gulf Shores, AL – A beachfront music festival on the Gulf Shores of Alabama is going ahead with a three-day concert despite the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico.
Organizers are hoping the event will attract almost 100,000 people the weekend of May 14-16. They are also organizing cleanup volunteers and holding a couple of fundraising shows.
Headliners at the first ever large-scale festival here include Trey Anastasio, the Zac Brown Band, John Legend and the Black Crowes. Organizers plan to construct two stages on the beach.
