Tuscaloosa, AL – Alabama's primary election is just one week away. As you prepare to cast your vote, Alabama Public Radio will spend this week talking about the issues facing the next person to occupy the governor's chair. One of those issues is a rewrite of Alabama's bulky 1901 Constitution. Bill Lester is a professor of political science at Jacksonville State University. He joined Morning Edition host Brandon Hollingsworth from there. The big talk about constitutional reform on the campaign trail, Lester says, is that no candidate is talking about it.
