Montgomery, AL – It will be six more weeks before the Democratic Party candidate for Alabama attorney general is decided.
Birmingham lawyer Luther Strange will be the Republican nominees. Strange defeated incumbent Troy King in the Republican Primary Tuesday.
But in the Democratic Primary, Montgomery lawyer James Anderson received just under 50 percent of the vote in a three candidate field and will face Birmingham attorney Giles Perkins in a July 13 runoff.
Perkins is the former executive director of the Alabama Democratic Party.
Strange will face the winner of the Democratic runoff in the Nov. 2 general election.
