Prattville, AL – The second-place finisher in the Republican primary in state Senate District 30, Ray Boles of Prattville, has withdraw and endorsed the first-place candidate, Bryan Taylor of Prattville.
Taylor came 130 votes short of winning the primary last week without a runoff. Boles, who serves on the Prattville City Council, announced Tuesday that he would withdraw from the Senate runoff.
Taylor served as Gov. Bob Riley's policy adviser before getting in the legislative race. He advances to the general election against Democratic incumbent Wendell Mitchell of Luverne.
Senate District 30 includes Autauga, Butler, Crenshaw, Elmore, Lowndes and Pike counties.
