Montgomery, AL – The recount from the Republican primary for governor is beginning in many counties, but some counties won't start until later in the week.
Third-place finisher Tim James was busy Monday sending checks to all 67 counties to pay for the recount. The official tally showed James coming in third place 167 votes behind Robert Bentley. But James says he wants another count and he wants to be in the runoff July 13 if he finishes second.
Bentley's campaign manager, Bryan Sanders, says a recount won't be as accurate as the official tally because it's being done with volunteers.
