Baldwin Co. Commission to Hold Emergency Meeting on Oil Spill

By Associated Press

Robertsdale, AL – Friday morning, the Baldwin County Commission will hold an emergency meeting to discuss possible actions it could take to protect its coastal areas from the Gulf oil spill.

The meeting, slated for 9 A-M, will take place in the Baldwin County Emergency Operations Center in Robertsdale.

The county commission also plans to vote on authorizing chairman Charles Gruber to sign a four-million-dollar grant agreement with the state of Alabama. The commission will discuss how to spend the grant money as county leaders, businesses and residents continue to grapple with the oil spill.
