New Auto Jobs In Alexander City

By Associated Press

Tuscaloosa AL – Auto parts maker SL Alabama says it plans to expand its Alexander City plant and add 200 jobs. The company is undergoing an expansion that will increase its capacity by 35 percent. The plant currently has more than 500 employees, and expects to add more than half of the new jobs before the end of 2010. The expansion will cost almost 3 million dollars for the building, and over the next two years more than $20 million in machinery and equipment will also be added. S-L moved to its current location in 2003.
