Ala. Sen. Shelby Donates To Bentley, Ivey, Chapman

Birmingham, AL – U.S. Sen. Richard Shelby of Alabama has donated $100,000 to Robert Bentley's Republican campaign for governor.

The money came from Shelby's political action committee, Defend America, and he reported it on his latest campaign finance report. Shelby did not endorse any candidate in the Republican primary for governor.

Shelby's latest report also shows that he gave $10,000 each to Kay Ivey's Republican campaign for lieutenant governor and Republican Beth Chapman's re-election campaign for secretary of state.

Shelby is also seeking re-election Nov. 2.
