Montgomery, AL – The Alabama House has passed three of Gov. Bob Riley's seven ethics bills.
The House voted 104-0 Friday for bills to ban PAC-to-PAC transfers, prohibit pass-through pork projects and require people who lobby the executive branch of government to register with the State Ethics Commission. The three bills now go to the Senate for consideration.
Republican legislative leaders are hoping to get votes in the Senate Friday on Riley's four other bills. That would put the Legislature on pace to wrap up its special session Tuesday.
