Ala. Officials Get Face-Value BCS Tickets

Montgomery, AL – An Auburn University spokesman says up to 15 Alabama legislators and state officials were permitted to buy tickets at face value to Monday's national championship foootball game in Glendale, Ariz.

Auburn spokesman Mike Clardy said Wednesday that he doesn't have a list of the names those who purchased BCS tickets because the school's office of governmental affairs doesn't handle ticket deliveries.

Clardy says the tickets will be picked up at the site of the game between Auburn and Oregon in Glendale, Ariz.

He says his office did not offer the opportunity to purchase tickets for state leaders who inquired but facilitated the purchase through Auburn's Athletics Department.

Some 26 legislators were given a chance to buy tickets at face value to the Southeastern Conference championship game on Dec. 4.
