Montgomery, AL – Alabama Gov. Robert Bentley is saying as many as 13 deaths are unconfirmed in his state after a brutal storm system swept through the area, and he expects the death toll to climb.
So far in the state, 10 counties have been hit by severe weather, with multiple injuries throughout the state.
The governor says over 400 state emergency personnel are working to assess the damage.
A state of emergency was declared in the state Wednesday afternoon. The governor is requesting federal assistance in the cleanup effort.
