South Ala. Nurseries Give Trees To Tornado Victims

Tuscaloosa, AL – Nurseries in south Alabama have donated a thousand trees that are set to be given to people whose property was torn apart by tornadoes that ripped across the northern part of the state on April 27.

The trees will be provided to Tuscaloosa County residents free of charge.

The trees donated for the ``Trees of Life'' giveaway Saturday include magnolias, cypress trees, red maples and white oaks.

Forest Lake Baptist Church in Tuscaloosa is serving as the distribution point and will also provide volunteers to help plant the trees.

Before planting trees, the property owner will have to call to have their utility lines marked.
