Birmingham, AL – Forecasters say that severe thunderstorms, including the threat of tornadoes, are possible as another weather system moves into Alabama on Friday.
The National Weather Service said the storms will develop as early as Friday afternoon across parts of Alabama ahead of and along a strong cold front.
The weather service said in a hazardous weather outlook that many threats are possible with the storms, including damaging straight-line winds, tornadoes, large hail and heavy rain.
Forecasters say they expect the severe weather threat to end early Saturday morning, as the front exits the state and moves to the southeast.
