Today's last word in business is a news item that prompted us to double check if it was dated April 1st. The date on the item is actually April 2nd.
The New York Times reports that Williams-Sonoma, the maker of cooking pots and appliances, now wants to get you out of the kitchen and into the backyard. It is introducing the Agrarian Collection, so you can grow your own food - with all the upscale accessories.
The collection includes window boxes, organic soil, heirloom seeds, copper gardening tools, and for the bolder backyard farmer, a portable chicken coup with two wheels so you can move it like a wheel barrel.
This really is the business news on MORNING EDITION, from NPR News. I'm Steve Inskeep.
