Event Description

The Arts Council of Tuscaloosa will host “Alabama, Then and Now,” a traveling Bicentennial art exhibition by members of the Alabama Plein Air Artists. Taking place March 7-28 in The Arts Council Gallery at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center, the exhibit will open with a reception on March 7 from 5-8 p.m. "Alabama, Then and Now" is a commemorative and educational art exhibition of 30 original paintings in honor of Alabama’s Bicentennial. All paintings were created by members of the Alabama Plein Air Artists (APAA) who gather monthly around the state to paint en plein air (in the "open air") outdoors, from life.
