Virtual Black Belt Folk Roots Festival
Virtual Black Belt Folk Roots Festival
This is the 45th annual Black Belt Folk Roots Festival which is usually held on the 4th Saturday and Sunday of August, on the old courthouse square in Eutaw, Greene County, Alabama. Due to the coronavirus, we are having a Virtual Festival, celebrating the folk artist of the region including blues & gospel musicians, quilters and other handcraft artists, foodways, and hands-on- arts for the youth. The designated website will feature many of the folk artists who are regular participants at the annual festival. The festival is produced by the Society of Folk Arts & Culture. The website will open on Saturday, August 22, 2020 and will be continuous. I am willing to send a contribution to the station. Carol P. Zippert, Coordinator. 205-372-0526.
