A cybersecurity threat sent students of Huntsville City Schools home early on Monday.
Dismissal began at noon as students and staff were told to turn off all school-issued devices until further notice.
A statement from the school system said the breach was believed to be a ransomware attack and that schools would remain closed on Tuesday.
