Alabama is among three states receiving over $103 million for projects related to the BP oil spill.
The settlement money will be used by Alabama, Florida and Mississippi for 11 new and two continued coastal projects. The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation said the projects total at $1.6 billion across five different Gulf states.
Alabama is getting more than $43 million for four new projects. Florida will receive nearly $33 million for one new project. Mississippi will get the remaining $27 million for two continued projects and six new ones.
