'Aging Out' Documents Foster Children's Lives

When people aged out of foster care in the 1970s, they were given a small amount of money and shown the door. New studies show kids coming out of foster care may need a lot more.

For as many as 20,000 teenagers annually who "age out" of foster care, there is little help in meeting the challenges of paying their own rent, affording health care and covering their living expenses.

Guests:

Daniella Rinhover, former foster child featured in new documentary

Roger Weisberg, writer and producer, upcoming documentary Aging Out

Dr. Mark Courtney, director of the Chapin Hall Center for Children at the University of Chicago Study; author of a recent study on youth leaving the foster care system
