The StoryCorps MobileBooth is now in Alabama. They began recording stories this past Thursday and through the weekend, and on this edition of Alabama Life, we will play four of those stories.

StoryCorps is a national oral history project. The StoryCorps MobileBooth that?s been touring the country is now in Alabama. They?re parked in historic downtown Northport till November 21.

* Rick Bragg is a Pulitzer prize winning journalist and author of ?All Over But The Shoutin?? and other books. He is a native of Alabama and is currently teaching in the University of Alabama?s journalism department. Adelaide Wood talked with Rick Bragg at the StoryCorps Mobilebooth this past Thursday. He told a story about his grandmother.
* Methodist Minister, Dr. Duncan Hunter, was born in Attalla, Alabama in 1917. He came to the StoryCorps Mobile Booth on Thursday. His friend Julia Williams asked Dr. Hunter about how he decided to become a minister.
* Tiffany Davis Norris is Alabama Public Radio?s former Morning Edition News Anchor (and now the wife of APR?s Jason Norris). Tiffany invited her great-aunt to participate in StoryCorps on Saturday. Ruth Palmer was a teacher in Northwest Alabama for nearly 40 years, teaching both high school and college. Tiffany asked Ruth about Ruth's mother.
* Storyteller Kathryn Tucker Windham was also at the StoryCorps MobileBooth on Thursday. Her friend Nancy Bennett asked her about family and friends and life in South Alabama. Kathryn Tucker Windham told a story about her father and grandfather.
