About Cary Fowler
Biodiversity archivist Cary Fowler's career spans 30 years. Fowler earned his Ph.D. at the University of Uppsala in Sweden. He is currently Chair of the International Advisory Council of the Svalbard Global Seed Vault in Norway and is the Associate Curator at the Memphis city Family of Museums. Prior to this, Cary was Professor and Director of Research at the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, as well as a Senior Advisor to the Director General of Biodiversity International. Cary has been profiled by 60 Minutes, CBS, and the New Yorker, and has authored several books and on topics such as agriculture, law, and development journals.
