Former Governor James Supports Moore

By Alabama Public Radio

Montgomery, AL – A former governor is publicly supporting Chief Justice Roy Moore's attempt to remove Attorney General Bill Pryor as prosecutor of the case against him. Fob James supports a second attempt to have Pryor barred from prosecuting Moore on judicial ethics charges. The first attempt to remove Pryor from the case failed, and Pryor says he will file a motion to dismiss Moore's latest filing, calling much of the material false and irrelevant. Chief Justice Moore also is trying to disqualify five of the nine members of the Court of the Judiciary, which will hear the case against him. Moore is accused of violating judicial standards by refusing to obey a federal court order to remove his Ten Commandments monument from the state judicial building. His trail is scheduled to begin November 12th.
