Montgomery, AL – The General Fund budget will be on the minds of a legislative conference committee Sunday night. The group is scheduled to meet then to resolve differences between the budget's House and Senate versions. Funding for historic sites and museums is expected to be a key issue. The budget for the agencies that operate them was reduced by 75 percent for the current fiscal year. The remaining 500-thousand dollars was completely cut from the House version of the upcoming budget. However, the Senate amended the budget to restore the funding.
