Prichard, AL – A Prichard City Council member is being criticized for comments concerning her fellow city workers. Earline Martin-Harris wrote a letter to her constituents saying she'd like to drag other Prichard city officials into a field and hang them from a tree. The comments were printed in a June newsletter and have been criticized as being cruel and tasteless. Martin-Harris says her statement was not meant to be insensitive. She says some of the complaints are part of a political ploy to harm her re-election chances later this month.
