Washington, D.C. – U.S. Senator Richard Shelby has announced that 50 million dollars has been approved for the Delta Region Transportation Development program. Shelby says the money will go toward toward several regional projects, including a study of composite materials for use in mass transit systems and a UAB study of vehicle crash injuries. The program also provides priority consideration of reconstruction between the cities of Cuba and Montgomery.
