Lunar Eclipse Will Occur Wednesday

By Alabama Public Radio

Undated – The nighttime sky will be a little unusual Wednesday. There will be a full lunar eclipse. It will begin around 8:15 P-M, when the moon will begin to pass through the earth's shadow. Astronomers says if the skies are clear, residents can expect to see the moon turn to a deep reddish, orange color. And, as it turns out, the ghoulish look comes very close to the Halloween holiday. The eclipse will take several hours to complete, but astronomers say casual observers can watch it without telescopes or binoculars.
