New Testimony on Rudolph Survival

By Alabama Public Radio

Birmingham, AL – Accused serial bomber Eric Rudolph apparently watched a video on survival techniques while he was on the run in 1998. Testimony at a Birmingham hearing last week showed that Rudolph took time to watch the video after breaking into the home of a family acquaintance in North Carolina. Rudolph for years was depicted as a seasoned outdoorsman, but the testimony cast him as someone just struggling to get by. Rudolph was captured near a grocery store trash bin in North Carolina after five years on the run. He is awaiting trial on federal capital charges of setting off a bomb outside a Birmingham abortion clinic in 1998. The bomb killed a police officer.
