Auburn Will Learn SACS Fate Tuesday

By Alabama Public Radio

Auburn, AL – Auburn University will know Tuesday whether its academic probation will be extended or end. The Southern Association of Colleges and Schools is expected to meet in Atlanta and release its decision. SACS placed Auburn on probation last December for several reasons, including micro-management by the board of trustees. Governor Bob Riley and Auburn interim President Ed Richardson say they believe the school has addressed SACS' concerns. They visited with SACS members Friday to discuss the issue.
