Alabama Continues Trading With Cuba

Montgomery, AL – Alabama has negotiated another 18 million dollars in export contracts with Cuba. The state will sell nearly nine million dollars in poultry products next year. Transmission poles will cost the country another 10 million dollars. State Agriculture Commissioner Ron Sparks also says negotiations have begun with the Cuban government to export more lumber and several containers of snack foods. Sparks says the state cannot afford to ignore Cuba's growing market. Alabama sold about 15 million dollars worth of goods to Cuba this year.
