Oak Ridge, TN – The Tennessee Valley Authority board approved a ten-year, 200 million dollar maintenance contract for its coal-fired power plants Tuesday. Two of the T-V-A's 13 coal-fired plants are in north Alabama. The Tennessee Valley Authority serves north Alabama and six other southeastern states.
