Prime Minister's Wife Will Visit Birmingham

Birmingham, AL – The British government will have a representative in Birmingham next month. Cherie Booth Blair, the wife of British Prime Minister Tony Blair, is scheduled to speak at Samford University. Mrs. Blair is an attorney and human rights specialist and practices with a London firm. Forbes Magazine has recognized her as one of the most powerful women in the world. She'll deliver the Percy C- Ratliff Lecture at seven P-M on March First. It will be held at Samford's Wright Center Concert Hall. The program is open to the public.
