Montgomery, AL – The newest nominee for the Auburn University board of trustees will get his first test Thursday in the state Senate. The Senate Confirmations Committee will review the selection of Sam Ginn of California. The wireless phone magnate is an Auburn graduate. He did give $25 million to Auburn's engineering school. Ginn must be approved by the Senate committee as well as the full Senate to serve as an Auburn trustee. He was nominated for the post in January by a selection committee headed by Governor Riley.
