UA Law Grad Gets Federal Appointment

Washington, D.C. – An Alabama law school graduate has been appointed special assistant to President Bush and senior director of legislative affairs. Michael Allen most recently was special assistant to the President for legislative affairs. In that post, he managed congressional relations for the White House. Allen previously worked for U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions. He also worked for the Office of Homeland Security and in the Bureau of Legislative Affairs at the State Department.
