A piece of Huntsville music history will stay put for right now.

WAFF-TV (http://bit.ly/14PCTuZ ) reports the Tip Top Cafe was auctioned off Thursday for $15,000. The new owner, Doug Neal, said he's not a club owner, but he doesn't plan to tear down the landmark. He said he will use it for storage for now, but he's open to leasing the building to someone with a vision for it.

The president of the auction firm, Beau Cole, said the Tip Top Cafe used to be the place to go in Huntsville to hear live music. It hosted shows by artists ranging from Bo Diddley to Mr. Crowe's Garden, which became the Black Crowes.
