Huntsville attorney Richard Raleigh is the new president of the Alabama State Bar.
Raleigh was installed at the group's weekend meeting. He will serve a one-year term as the leader of the State Bar's 17,600 members.
Raleigh is a University of Alabama Law School graduate and served in the Army before joining a Huntsville law firm. He is now the managing shareholder at Wilmer & Lee.
Montgomery attorney Lee Copeland is the State Bar's president-elect.
