MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) - Montgomery school board officials say they're preparing to terminate Superintendent Barbara Thompson's contract. Board member Heather Sellers said Tuesday that the district's lawyer is meeting with Thompson's attorney and the board will likely meet on the issue on Wednesday. Thompson was hired in 2009 and was at the helm of the district while the state schools superintendent's office investigated allegations of improper grade changes in the district.
