Tuscaloosa restaurant hopeful for return of regular business

The coronavirus pandemic has caused many local businesses to close or adjust how they serve their customers. Mr. Chen's in Tuscaloosa has not remained unscathed, but does stay hopeful.

They continue to offer pickup orders as well as delivery through Crimson2Go. No workers have been laid off, but kitchen staff is being rotated and servers have not been given any hours to work.

The restaurant opened in 2012 and is used to seeing dips in customers when University of Alabama students leave town for winter and summer breaks. But this year the slower part of business has been extended by two months. Nevertheless, employees are hopeful things will return to normal in August at the beginning of the fall semester.
