An Alabama mayor has been arrested on felony ethics charges.
Lanett mayor Jonathon Kyle McCoy has been charged with using his official position or office for personal gain. He surrendered to authorities at the Chambers County jail Tuesday morning. His bond was set at $30,000.
McCoy denied the allegations in a statement released on Tuesday and said he will fight the charges against him.
