NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center in Huntsville has a new associate director.

Longtime employee Rae Ann Meyer started as an engineer at the station's propulsion laboratory in 1989.

Her new position will allow her to manage 7,000 civil service and and contract employees. Meyer will also oversee development of the center's business operations. A statement from NASA said she will also guide daily business decisions and supervise operational policy and processes.
