Alabama Crimson Tide Football team holds a Black Lives Matter march on campus

Players and coaches for the Alabama Crimson Tide made their feelings known about the Black Lives Matter movement. The team marched to Foster Auditorium at the University of Alabama to address students and faculty on racial justice. Foster is the location of the so called “stand in the schoolhouse door” where Governor George Wallace tried to keep two African American students from enrolling in 1963.The list of speakers included Tide players Chris Owens and Jarez Parks*. They were joined by Doctor Christine Taylor. She’s the University’s Vice President for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion. APR’s Pat Duggins attended the march and put together this sound portrait.
