Washington, DC – Alabama's incumbent congressmen seem to have distinct financial advantages in this year's congressional races. Records from the Federal Elections Commission show all seven lawmakers have at least 300 thousand dollars in their campaign bank accounts. But commission records tell a different story for this year's congressional challengers. The F-E-C shows those candidates are lagging far behind in fund raising. Through the end of last month, most challengers had not even raised or spent five thousand dollars. That's the minimum amount required to file a Federal Elections Commission report.
