Birmingham, AL – First Lady Laura Bush will visit Birmingham next week to raise money for her husband's re-election campaign. A 500-dollar-per-person reception will be held July 14th at The Club. For five-thousand dollars, a couple can also have a picture made with Mrs. Bush. Proceeds will go to the Republican National Committee Presidential Trust, which will support President Bush's campaign in battleground states. U.S. Senator Jeff Sessions is chairing the fund-raiser along with State Republican Party official Linda Maynor. U.S. Senator Richard Shelby is the honorary chairman. Governor Riley and the five Republicans in Alabama's House delegation are co-chairs.
