Farnsborough, England – Alabama's aviation and aerospace industries reportedly provide more than 139 thousand jobs. Governor Bob Riley is in Europe this week trying to increase those numbers. His so-called "Jobs Mission" has finished its third day. Riley is in England attending the Farnsborough International Air Show. The event has more than 13-hundred exhibitors, and Riley is there to promote Alabama's industries. The governor will travel to Germany Tuesday. A statement from his office says announcements are scheduled this week concerning companies that plan to build manufacturing plants in the state.
