Marion, AL – Perry County Commissioner Albert Turner says he will challenge the results of Tuesday's mayor's election in Marion. Turner says he's concerned 47 percent of the votes cast in the election were absentee ballots. He also says more than 60 percent of the votes for the winning candidate were absentee ballots. Tony Long received one-thousand-120 votes. Second place finisher Robert Bryant received 997. Turner was Bryant's campaign manager. Even Secretary of State Nancy Worley says she can't recall any county election with such a high number of absentee ballots.
