Montgomery, AL – Alabamians will have more choices than George Bush and John Kerry when they vote for President this November. The deadline was Tuesday at 5 p.m. for independent and third-party candidates to turn in the five thousand voters' signatures that are necessary to get on the ballot in Alabama. And Ralph Nader's campaign did meet the deadline...barely...turning in more than eight-thousand signatures to the secretary of state's office. The Libertarian Party also turned in nine thousand signatures for Michael Badnarik. The Constitution Party wrapped up its signature gathering last month as well...guaranteeing Michael Peroutka a spot on the ballot.
