Local Election Dispute Continues

By Alabama Public Radio

Greensboro, AL – An election dispute continues in Greensboro as a judge considers what to do about a box of absentee ballots. Vanessa Hill lost the local mayor's race to Johnnie Washington, but Hill wants the results overturned. She says illegal votes helped Washington win. Washington defeated Hill by 90 votes in a September 14th runoff. That includes 251 absentee votes for Washington and 51 for Hill. Hill's attorney wants to inspect the absentee ballots for any evidence of tampering.
