Montgomery, AL – Governor Riley is not talking about Friday's meeting in Atlanta that concerned Auburn University's academic probation. Riley's spokesperson John Matson would only say the Governor had a frank discussion with Auburn's accrediting agency--the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools. Riley has said he's committed to getting Auburn off of probation. SACS will hold its annual meeting during the first week in December. The organization will consider Auburn's status then. SACS put Auburn on probation last December in response to complaints that the school's board of trustees was dominated by a small group and that the board interfered with day-to-day operations of the school.
