Montgomery, AL – State Attorney General Troy King is challenging a constitutional amendment that allows an electronic gambling business in White Hall. He says the 2002 amendment should have been put before all Alabama voters, not just residents of Lowndes County only. King says any amendment that draws a negative vote in the legislature must be voted on statewide. The gambling amendment received one negative vote in the state Senate. If the judge rules the amendment is not valid, King says he'll seek a court injunction against the White Hall Gaming Center.
