Legislature Begins Session's Fourth Week

By Alabama Public Radio

Montgomery, AL – The Alabama Legislature will begin the fourth week of its session Tuesday. Senate President Pro Tem Lowell Barron says he hopes the Senate will take up a public disclosure bill that he has tried unsuccessfully to get on the work agenda. The bill would require nonprofit groups to disclose the sources of their funding when they run ads to support or oppose an issue in the Legislature. A similar bill has already won overwhelming approval in the House.
